- These easy-to-grow, hardy plants bear a profusion of dainty bright blue
flowers in late spring. Excellent when planted among bulbs and annuals,
this old favorite does well planted on the edge of a lawn where it can bloom
in spring and be mowed in summer.
Select a sunny location with filtered sunlight and sow after danger of frost
is past, or sow in July for bloom the following spring. Keep soil moist,
otherwise plants require no special care. If planted in a lawn, mow
after blooms fade in late spring and use no herbicides. Biennials bloom
the second year, produce seed and die.
