• This easy-to-grow annual features electric blue, single flowers covering 6-9” mounds of bright green leaves. Popular in Europe, particularly Britain, Blue Pimpernel does well in the north, especially in cooler coastal regions, including around the Great Lakes.
  Select an area that receives at least a half-day of sun. Thoroughly prepare garden soil. Sow seed directly where you want the plants to bloom. Expect flowers in 9 to 10 weeks. Pinch plants back in late summer and fertilize for autumn color. For early blooms, sow indoors in mid-February, transplant to flats in mid-March for flower plants in mid-May.
