Alyssum Sweet Wild Annual Seeds
Price per Packet $0.75
  • Type: Annual
  • Height: 4-6"
  • Creeping Zinnia may be as close as we can get to a perfect spreading and flowering groundcover that is able to tolerate poor soils and hot, dry conditions.  Reaching only about 8" tall, the plants perform well on rocks and hold up well in neglected hanging baskets as well.
Plant seeds outdoors after the last frost in well-drained soil.  Seeds may be started indoors 6 weeks earlier.  Sow seeds sparsely and keep moist until seedlings are established.  Keep water off leaves.  Do not fertilize.
  • Type: Annual
  • Height: 6-8"
  • These low, spreading plants grow quickly with an abundance of flowers. Like its name, the clusters of tiny white flowers will sweeten any garden with fragrance. Excellent for beds, edgings, in-between other flowers, and as accents in containers.
Sow seeds directly in a sunny location after all danger of frost has passed. For earlier flowers, start seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost. Lightly rake seed into soil and moisten. Shear plants to keep flowers coming and to prevent legginess. Blooms until frost.

Marigold Sparky Annual Seeds

  • Type: Bush
  • Days to Maturity: 55
  • Royal Burgundy is known for vigor in cool soil and delicious, flavorful beans. The attractive, purple pods measure about 6"/15cm long. Because they are purple, they are easy to see when picking, and they turn an appealing rich green when blanched for freezing.
Select a sunny location and plant in late spring after last frost. Soil should be warm. Make successive plantings every 2 weeks until 8 weeks before fall frost. Firm soil over seed. Pick regularly with care when pods are 5-6"/13-15cm long.
  • Type: Annual
  • Height: 12-14"
  • Marigolds are among the most popular and easiest to grow annuals, blooming all summer until frost. Sparky is a sturdy little French type that grows from 12-14" and produces gold, orange and red flowers that resemble miniature carnations. Ideal in borders, edgings, in masses or in containers.
Sow seeds in a sunny location after all danger of frost is past, or indoors 5-6 weeks earlier. Barely cover seeds and keep moist. Plants tolerate a little dryness and ordinary garden soil. Excessive feeding and watering encourages foliage growth instead of flowers.

Little Finger Carrot Seeds
Price per Packet $0.75
  • Buy a packet for a cat or cat-lover you know. Oats are easy to grow indoors year 'round. Some say oats aid feline digestion and eliminate hairballs. Whether or not that's true, cats do love to nibble sweet, young oats. And once they start, they want to make it a regular part of their day. Some report that since they started growing Old's Oats for Cats, their cats leave their houseplants alone, preferring the oats instead.
Of course, once cat-lovers grow Oats for Cats for their feline friends, they don't want to stop either.
Oats for cats are easy to grow. Just fill a shallow bowl or saucer with moist potting soil, sprinkle oats over soil at about 10 seeds per sq inch. Lightly press seed into soil and keep moist.
  • Days to Maturity: 50-68
  • An improved Amsterdam type, Little finger is a baby gourmet carrot that develops its deep-orange color and flavor quickly so it can be harvested early.  The 3" to 3.5" cylindrical, blunt roots have a very small core, smooth skin, and weak tops.  It has also been call Lady Finger, Nantes Little Finger and Sweet Midget.
Select a sunny location.  Cultivate deeply and plant in early spring as soon as soil can be worked.  Repeat every 2-3 weeks until mid-summer.  Fall planting recommended in areas with mild winters.  Sow seed sparingly, firm soil over row.  Begin pulling when finger size.
